Sophie-lou's space poem

Uranus

I'm Uranus. I look at Saturn with its hot, fiery rings.I wish I had some rings like his to keep me warm.

The bright stars around me make me shimmer gracefully in the dark night sky.

My glittering, icy rings swirl around my mystical, magical bluey-greeney.

Jupiter

This is my space poem called Jupiter.

Jupiter

Jupiter, Icy cold at negative 180 degree,
Jupiter, staring at Saturn's icy ring with my wonderful red eye,
Giant Jupiter, 1,318 times larger than the tiny earth (well that's what I think)
Jupiter, I was discovered in the mid 1800s (I think I am old)
Jupiter, I can't believe it I am the biggest, WOW!
Jupiter, my wonderful 6.2876108km diameter,
Jupiter, my wonderful eye the size of earth.

Book reviews

In Formula Base as one of our activities to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 5th March, we have been writing book reviews to put onto the espresso education website that we use at school. We chose between fiction and non-fiction and we are now waiting to see if any of them get published to the site (we keep checking to see if they are there!) - how exciting!

Mars

Mars, I am mars red cold and dusty planet
I can see the earth it is right in front of my face
It will take 6 months for people to get to me
I am the fourth planet from the firey sun
and I am the second nearest to the earth
by Katie

Saturn

Saturn
Watching beautiful Saturn As its icy ring circles by
Spectacular orange, red, yellow and brown flames burst into the night sky
4.6 billion years old and is made of gas and is the second biggest
It's named after a god called Saturnus and is 1,427,000,000 km from the sun.
Right next to him floats giant Jupiter and shimmering Uranus.

Planet Mars

I am mars and I am as cold as ice.
Red dust lives on me.
Rocky volcanoes lives on me too.
I look in front of me and I can see the Earth.
I am the 4th planet that's nearest to the Earth.
